Commercial Pilot

​The Commercial Pilot License is a US Government certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) which allows you to operate an aircraft on a ‘commercial’ basis. As a commercial pilot you can be compensated for your pilot duties. This is generally known as ‘for hire’ operations. It is the essential certificate for those seeking a career as a pilot.

To obtain your CPL, the FAA requires specific training to be accomplished, both ground instruction and flight instruction, along with the completion of the FAA Commercial Pilot Knowledge test. The final step is a practical evaluation by a designated FAA examiner which consists of an oral discussion of knowledge areas and a flight evaluation of required manuevers.
